The rumor mill for Mazda is buzzing this month with some interesting speculations. We already know Mazda is fully committed to releasing five new models to the market by March of 2016. We also know for certain that new, improved versions of the Mazda CX-3 subcompact crossover, CX-9 crossover, and MX-5 Miata roadster will be coming out in the next two years. Now Auto Express is hinting at the possibility of a brand new, sporty, Mazda 6 Coupe that might be in the plans for the company.

If this is true, Mazda might be making plans to step into the premium world of the automaking industry. The buzz about Mazda’s interest in this market isn’t new, but this is the first time rumors about it were centered on the Mazda 6 coupe.
If it is true, Auto Express believes it will likely be designed around the 2010 Shinari concept with some Skyactiv elements in the actual engine of the rumored coupe.
Parks Mazda will be keeping an eye on these rumors in the future to see what Mazda’s true move is going to be. To learn more about the up and coming cars from Mazda, check back weekly!
