Next stop on the never-ending motor show circuit—Geneva! The Geneva Motor Show opens on March 6 and Mazda is excited to make their presence known in Switzerland with the debut of the Mazda Hazumi Concept. The Hazumi Concept is widely recognized as a prototype of what will eventually become the next Mazda2 subcompact vehicle, Mazda’s inspired answer to the other refreshed options in the hot subcompact segment.

While a teaser image—a sketch, actually—of the concept vehicle leaked out onto the internet yesterday, the details about what might be found under the hood remain scarce and secret. Sources estimate that the new Mazda2, probably a 2015 model, will feature an updated 1.5L engine with SkyActiv technology that knocks the car’s power up a notch to around 120 horsepower and 40 mpg highway.

But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. At Parks Mazda, we’re just excited to see the sleek, edgy new Mazda Hazumi Concept unveiled next week. You can catch your first glimpse of the concept on March 4 during the Geneva Motor Show media preview.
