Rice, age 49, will be leading the European creative design process and will focus his attention on fine-tuning Mazda’s award-winning “KODO – Soul of Motion” design language used in its latest models.
From 1995 to 2000, Rice worked as senior designer for Mazda, where he contributed to many of the company’s future projects such as the RX-8 and the “Neospace” show car that was displayed at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show. He then spent 13 years at BMW, taking responsibility for the development of new models like the new 3 and 4 series.
He now returns to Mazda as creative director with valuable new experience to help further improve the brand’s visual identity. Here at Bright Bay Mazda, we’re excited to see such a big name return to the brand and have no doubt that he will bring even more success in the future. Welcome back!
