The 2016 CX-3 Design is Powerful and Efficient

2016 CX-3 design

Mazda is starting engine production at a new power-train plant in Thailand, which it has named the Mazda Power-train Manufacturing Company. This new production base for SKYACTIV engines was created in response to an Eco-Car program created by the Thai government, which rewards tax breaks to fuel-efficient vehicles, such as the CX-3.

Speaking of-the new 2016 CX-3 design comes with a powerful but efficient engine with the high-tech SKYACTIV system. This compact SUV is one of Mazda’s most powerful, according to Automotive World, giving drivers the perfect combination of performance and practicality.

“Mazda is committed to producing vehicles in this country at the same high-quality level as we do in Japan, and delivering to market products that offer Mazda’s unique driving pleasure, in a timely manner,” said Kiyotaka Shobuda. “In doing so, we will further contribute to the development of the Thai automotive industry and enhance the Mazda brand.”

The new manufacturing plant is designed to assist production of the new CX-3 model, starting at $19,960 MSRP in the US. It also comes with three trim selections, as well as off-road and i-ACTIVE all-wheel drive options.

Mazda Earns Three German Design Awards

German Design Awards

Mazdas are some of the most beautifully designed vehicles on the road. When a Mazda drives by, heads are sure to turn because those automobiles feature unique lines that are sure to be recognized.

According to a press release, Mazda earned three German Design Awards in three different categories. That’s impressive.

The awards, which were part of the Automotive Brand Contest, celebrate achievements in product design and integration. All seen in Mazda’s design.

Mazda’s Global Design Team received one of the awards for their excellence in achievement.

The Bike by KODO Concept also received an award for its innovative design.

Finally, the newest member of the Mazda family, the Mazda CX-3, received an award for its excellent styling, both inside and out.

“We are very excited about the awards presented to the CX-3, the Bike by KODO Concept and especially our Global Design Team,” said Ikuo Maeda, Executive Officer and Design Chief of Mazda’s Design Division. “The entire team will continue to work to create dynamic and energetic designs that will excite our customers.”

We look forward to what Mazda designs next and also remember to visit Parks Mazda, so you can schedule a test drive in one of these beautifully designed vehicles.

Mazda Drive For Good Event Raises Close to $5 Million

Mazda made a monumental announcement last week, revealing that they auto company is donating nearly $5 million to a diverse group of select charities as a result of the “Mazda Drive for Good” event. This number is a whopping 79.4 percent increase from the numbers raised in 2014.

Additionally, Mazda employees themselves as well as dealers all across the country are donating their time to volunteer service opportunities, accumulating more than 66,000 hours of elbow grease to various organizations.

The Drive for Good event that spawned all of this money and man power ran for slightly over a month, and during that time, Mazda donated $150 for every new Mazda vehicle purchased as well as one hour of charitable service, with the new owners choosing the charity.

It’s no coincidence that the Mazda Drive for Good event took place during one of the most financially demanding times of the year for those in need. We at Parks Mazda were inspired by this event and encourage you to contribute to others like it in the future. In fact in the month of December we donated a portion of all of our sales to The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of High Point!

Three Million Mazda6 Models Produced as of November 2014

Mazda Motor Corporation made a  big announcement last week that – as of November 2014 – an astounding three million Mazda6 (aka the Mazda Atenza) units have been produced, a mere 12 years and nine months after the initial Mazda6 was born.

This is the second fastest Mazda model to break the stellar record, which was reached by the Mazda3 (Mazda Axela) even faster. With three million Mazda6 models produced in addition to the Mazda3, Mazda can easily call itself one of the world’s top car providers.

Three Million Mazda6 Models ProducedWhile the current Mazda6 model received an update in 2012, a new Mazda6 is set to hit the market this year starting in Japan and the United States. According to Mazda, the updated Mazda6 boasts “new levels of depth and maturity,” with “enhanced dynamic performance for a more comfortable, higher-quality ride.”

The 2015 Mazda6 will also have the Mazda Connect new-generation system, as well as the i-ACTIVESENSE program, ensuring that the vehicle is top-of-the-line when it comes to safety and app technologies.

Mazda CX-5 Facelift Leaked Before LA Auto Show Debut

In the car industry, sometimes, debuts don’t go exactly as planned. This was the case for Mazda’s most recent debut of the newly redesigned CX-5. The Mazda CX-5 facelift leaked mere weeks before the LA Auto Show later this month, giving the world a glimpse of the Japanese carmaker’s new design. The images, which appear to be scanned from a brochure, have taken over the internet, showing us exactly what we can expect from this rejuvenated model and we have to say—we really like what we see.

The CX-5 facelift appears to include a new grille with horizontal bars, making the front end look slightly wider than the last model. LED headlamps also make an appearance, looking similar to those that recently showed up on the new Mazda2. The CX-5 even has new fog light surrounds, new taillight graphics, and brand new wheels.

While we won’t get an idea of what the newly redesigned interior looks like, we can guess it looks just as great as the exterior. Check back to Parks Mazda later this month to see news on the official debut of the Mazda CX-5!

New Face of the 2016 Mazda6 Leaked through Brochure

In Japan, the Mazda6 is known as the Atenza (a much cooler name if you ask us) and it is through this car that we’re getting a sneak peak at the new face of the 2016 Mazda6.

On the French car forum WorldScoop, someone posted some photographs from an Atenza sales handbook. The pictures of a picture (we’re getting a little inception-y here)  show both the interior and exterior. Inside it seems the new Mazda6 will get an updated instrument panel and a standalone infotainment screen (similar to the Mazda3).

If this new system works like the Mazda3’s does, it will be a welcome change to the Mazda6’s current system and will bring the larger sedan up to speed with the rest of the Mazda lineup.

Outside, it appears the Mazda6’s front end will gain some new bodywork on the lower body and minor tweaks to the swept-back headlamps.

We won’t have to wait long to get a real look at these updates, as the 2016 Mazda6 is expected to make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month along with the all-new CX-3 and updated CX-5.

While we wait for the debut of the next generations, you can still come to Parks Mazda and see all of the award winning Mazda’s on our lot!
